Improper Arrest: Videos Don't Support Arrest Report

Many agencies use videos. You have probably watched COPS on TV. When the videos are available, they may not support the arrest decision or may show facts different from what is in the police report. This is increasingly true with DVD cameras. They "back up" or record what happened well before the blue lights were activated, and frequently prove that the officer's version of events is not quite what happened. Of course, there are many honest officers who have no fear of video. Our observations are directed at the others.
